How to Cook Aloo Palak

One of the most traditional Pakistani recipe of aloo palak. It has a unique and delicious taste. No need to buy a lot of ingredients to cook it. Easy to prepare and serve it. Mostly people like to eat aloo palak in lunch time. Vegetables are good for health as it contain vitamins and iron. It improves your health and strength. Ingredients:

  • ½ big cup of oil
  • 2-3 potatoes (peel it and cut it into pieces)
  • 1 table spoon of garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 onion (cut it into pieces)
  • 2 tomatoes (cut it into pieces)
  • 4-5 green chili (cut it into small pieces)
  • 1 tea spoon of red chili or according to your taste
  • 1½ tea spoon of salt or according to your taste
  • ½ tea spoon of turmeric powder
  • ½ tea spoon of cumin seeds (zeera)
  • 2-3v bunch of spinach (palak) leaves

Procedure:

First wash the spinach leaves and cut it. In a cooking pan add oil and onion in it until it turns into light brown color. Add tomatoes, red chili, turmeric powder, salt, garlic paste and green chili in it. Stir it for 2-3 times and add palak in it. Cover it on a low flame and cook for 15 minute while stirring after every 5 minute. Now add potatoes in it and cook until it completely cooked. After that add cumin seeds (zeera) in it and serve it with chapatti. Now enjoy its delicious taste.
